Your Profile:
The IT Transition Project Manager is responsible for coordinating any IT transformational changes needed or recommended for improvement of services, working towards the move from SMMC to St. Maarten General Hospital (SMGH) and guiding the IT transition. Key duties include analyzing IT services currently provided and potentially needed, standards to be achieved and maintained and ensuring staff skills to provide optimal support according to best practices. You will consult with internal professionals on their IT needs, manage internal requests for change in line with budgetary approvals, consult management on the risk factors of implementing proposed changes and facilitate approved transition processes.

Additional Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in IT, Information Management or Software Engineering, or equivalent;
- 5 years proven experience in implementing IT projects;
- 5 years experience as a Project Manager;
- High Knowledge of Microsoft Office and specifically MS Project;
- Proficiency in the English language at a post Bachelor’s level is required;
- Strong negotiation skills.

Our primary service area of St. Maarten, Statia, and Saba, represents a total population of approximately 60.000 people, constituting a multi-cultural mix with more than 100 different nationalities. In addition, we also offer health care services to two million visitors annually.
SMMC has started the construction of the new St. Maarten General Hospital (SMGH) to expand its services to accommodate the increased care demand of the people of St. Maarten, its visitors, and neighboring islands. The new hospital is planned to be operational in 2023.
